In modelling process, blanks can occur between entity numbers due to divide / boolean operations. Similarly, the great difference between the numbers of keypoints in an area can cause meshing problem for this area (Figure 2). For example, the keypoint number is 350 in one side of connection line. The difference of the numbers of entities between two adjacent points in intersection of 1st and 2nd block is approximately equal to the number of entities in a block. 2nd block will be modeled with the same way. For example, we assume that 1st block of a ship is modeled from bottom to top. The location hierarchy of geometric entities’ number is lost while modelling a large and complex geometry like a ship. Likewise, after a boolean operation of two lines, relevant entities’ quantity will decrease by one. For example, after a line is divided by workplane, the total keypoint and line number will increase by one in. As a result of usage of these commands, new entities are added or removed to the existing geometric entity database. ![]() ship) which has a lot of entities (area, line, keypoint). Modifying commands (LSWB, ASBW, LSBL etc.) under /PREP7 are used many times while modelling a complex geometry (for ex.
